Day 6 - Bigfork, MT to Seeley Lake, MT

Long day today... Kind of cold & wet with drizzle most of the day. Good news is, the rain gear works nicely, at least for a light shower:-).
Today we'd originally planned to end at Holland Lake, but heard last night that the lodge there was closed after being purchased by developers from Colorado intent on building a ski resort that now has the area up in arms... So... Given the marginal weather, we opted to skip some of the dirt roads we originally routed on, as last night's downpour left most of the muddy with deep stream crossings. Instead Mike & I blew down the main highway all the way to Seeley Lake. 70+ miles makes for a long day on a fully loaded gravel bike, but we plan to take an easy day to Ovando tomorrow.

As seems pretty typical here, the scenery was spectacular, even in crappy weather!
To top things off- today was Mike's Birthday! 63 ;-)  In his honor, when we got the last hotel room in town, but it only had one queen bed, I gave him the bed and set up my sleeping bag on the floor. Still way better than a wet tent!
Cheers!
